On Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, we are sending home Alternative Method of Instruction (AMI) packets with all students. Please place this packet in a safe, easily accessible location at home. This letter explains what AMI is and how it will be used this school year.

☀️ Grandparent’s Day Update ☀️
To keep our students and wonderful grandparents safe and comfortable during this week's excessive heat, we are moving our Grandparent's Day celebration to next Wednesday, September 23rd.
We know schedule changes can be frustrating, and we truly apologize for changing the date again! We want this event to be a fantastic experience for all of our families, and we appreciate your patience and ongoing support.
Join us on the new date for our sweet theme: "Popsicles on the Playground!"
Updated Schedule:
3rd - 6th Grade: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM
PK - 2nd Grade: 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM

Today's Grandparent's Day event at Valley R-VI Elementary is cancelled. It has been rescheduled for next Wednesday, September 16th.
We sincerely apologize for this short notice. Out of an abundance of caution due to the increasing forecast for rain, we want to ensure that everyone is completely safe and able to enjoy this event. Thank you so much for your understanding, flexibility, and cooperation in keeping our school community safe! We look forward to seeing our Grandparents next Wednesday, September 16th!
