Thank you to everyone in the community that dropped off items, donations, and helped provide temporary housing for our student and the family. The generosity is very much appreciated! #VikingPride

Dear Valley R-VI Community,
Last night, one of our high school students was devastatingly impacted by the high winds and fires that swept through our area. Tragically, the family lost their home along with all of their belongings. As they navigate this challenging time, they are in need of a variety of items, including clothing, hygiene products, and essential household items.
Additionally, the family is actively seeking temporary housing while they search for a permanent residence. Currently, they have secured a hotel room for just one night, but they are in need of a more stable housing solution.
If anyone in our community is able to assist this family, we will be accepting donations of both items and monetary contributions. Donations can be dropped off at Valley R-6 High School on Sunday, March 16th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
If you would like to help in other ways, including offering temporary housing, please reach out to:
• Ashley Jones at ajones@valley.k12.mo.us
• Jennifer Seabourne at jennifer.seabourne@valley.k12.mo.us
Below are the clothing sizes for the family members:
Student (Male):
• Pants: 40x32
• Shirt: XL
• Shoe Size: 12
Parent 1 (Female):
• Pants: Size 20
• Top: XL
• Shoe Size: 7
Parent 2 (Male):
• Pants: 36x32
• Top: Large
• Shoe Size: 12
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support. Let’s come together as a community to help this family during such a difficult time.

Mrs. Cooper’s classes have been reading lots of Dr. Seuss books this week and creating some wacky stuff!

In Miss Barth's 3rd grade class we are practicing using fractions to show equal parts of a whole with play-doh! Students will model, name and represent each part of the whole.
